Tomás Herranz is an Information Security Manager for BBVA’s new Digital Bank. He received his master’s degree in computer engineering from UAM and started his professional career at BBVA in 2007. Prior to his current position he was responsible for two years of the America’s Infosec Engineering department where he lead a team in charge of reviewing and providing Security solutions to projects started throughout BBVA’s banks in America. Currently he is the head of Core Security Architecture department in BBVA where he is in charge of the development and design of Security Architecture solutions. Herranz holds more than nine years of experience in the banking Industry and spent the latter five involved in Information Security duties where he was certified both in GSEC (SANS) and CISM.
